Padel

Are you ready to experience a thrilling and fast-paced racket sport that's taking the world by storm? Padel has gained immense popularity in Spain, Europe, and Latin America. As this exhilarating sport continues to captivate enthusiasts worldwide, it is also making its mark in various regions across the United States. Check out our padel page to uncover why padel is a sensation and find out where to play.

  • What is padel?

Padel is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It’s played on a smaller, enclosed court with walls. Players use solid, perforated rackets to hit a depressurized tennis ball over the net. Padel is often played in doubles but can also be played as singles.

  • How to play padel.

To play padel, two teams of two players take turns hitting the ball over the net and into the opposing team's side of the court.  The ball can be played off the walls, adding a lively dimension to the game. Scoring is similar to tennis, with games and sets; the winner is determined by the best of three sets.

  • Where can you play padel?

There is an increasing number of places to find padel courts in the U.S. Las Vegas is a great spot for year-round outdoor padel. New padel courts are also popping up in Colorado and other states throughout the country. Find our favorite padel courts in Colorado and the best padel courts in Las Vegas

  • Is padel similar to pickleball?

Padel offers a more dynamic and strategic game, played on a larger court with faster balls. The padel rules resemble tennis rules, whereas pickleball has its own unique scoring system. Pickleball is played on a smaller court with slower balls. It combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Get the full padel vs. pickleball comparison on our blog

  • What is badminton?

Badminton is a fast-paced, sociable racket sport that accommodates both singles and doubles play. Participants utilize long-handled rackets to strike a shuttlecock, also known as a "birdie," over the net and onto their opponent's side of the court. The sport is played on an open court with a high net in the middle.

  • How to play badminton.

To play badminton, two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles) stand on opposite sides of the court and use rackets to hit the shuttlecock back and forth over the net. The objective is to score points by making the shuttlecock land in the opponent's court before they can hit it.

  • Is badminton similar to tennis?

Badminton is often compared to tennis, although they are very different sports.

Badminton is played with long-handled, lightweight rackets and a shuttlecock, while tennis is played with heavier rackets and a ball. The court sizes vary, with a badminton court being smaller and typically played indoors. Tennis is played on a larger court, usually outdoors but often indoors in colder climates.

  • What is table tennis?

Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a fun and lightning-fast indoor racket sports game played on a table with small paddles and a lightweight ball. The objective is to hit the ball back and forth across the net, similar to tennis, but with smaller and lighter equipment.

  • How to play table tennis.

To play table tennis, you need a table tennis table, table tennis balls, and table tennis paddles. The game is played by hitting the ball back and forth over the net, with the aim of making the ball bounce on the opponent's side of the table without them being able to return it. Players must use quick reflexes, coordination, and strategy to outmaneuver their opponent and score points. The game continues until one player reaches the predetermined winning score, typically 11 points.
